I love that it encourages kids to dig deep and think about the Scripture in different ways. ![]() This journal is a combination of our favorite journal pages all wrapped up into one. I figured if our family struggled, then possibly you have too.Ī quiet time journal is a must-have resource for teaching kids devotional habits. And it kept him engaged! That’s why I wanted to share it with you. Little-by-little, we found the perfect formula. So I began creating notebook pages for him, with methods that would rotate on a daily basis. I wanted a resource that would allow him to choose his own Bible passages, but with open-ended guidance.īut everything we found on the market was a fail. We went on a search to find something that would help him stay engaged. I desperately wanted him to know that God’s Word is profitable, uplifting, and life-giving. He liked that idea.ĭo you ever wish there was a motivating, engaging, and age-appropriate devotional journal for kids? “What if we figure out some ways to help you stay interested while you read the Bible?” I suggested. It’s in His Word we’re reminded of things like how anger damages relationships and can lead us to be foolish at times. I reminded him that God gave us His Word so we would know His love and know the way of blessing in this life. ![]() Then I gently asked him if he had been reading his Bible lately. I took a deep breath and asked him to come talk to me. He lashed out in anger at his sister – harsh words that came from his own internal struggle and frustration. But I also know that God’s Word soothes our hurts and helps us in our journey. We all have seasons where we’re not as diligent to stay in the Word. I noticed that my son’s Bible sat unopened for days. ![]()
